Copyright Enforcement

Copyright Infringement - Priacy is the use of works protected by copyright law without permission for a usage where such permission is required, thereby infringing certain exclusive rights granted to the copyright holder, such as the right to reproduce, distribute, display or perform the protected work, or to make derivative works.  The copyright holder is typically the work's creator, or a publisher or other business to whom copyright has been assigned.

Stadeum Sports on-behalf of stakeholders such as Media Rights Holders, Leauges, Teams and Athletes have invoked legal and technological measures to prevent and to penalize copyright infringements.  The majority of our disputes on behalf of our clients have been resolved through direct negotiation, a notice and take down process or in serious cases allow us to proceed with litigation in civil court.

Protecting the Liga Profesionista de Fotbal Assets

Starting with the 2019 Liga Profesionista de Fotbal Season, Stadeum Sports will be managing all the digital and social assets of the Rights Holder, League and individual teams.  This will be accomplished by implementing technology to identify live streaming, video content uploaded and/or copyrighted material which is owned by the rights holder, league or team and enforce a takedown process.  Special permission will be granted to various entities to utilzie these videos or related content based on guidelines that have been outlined by the Rights Holder, League and Team but will be enforced by Stadeum Sports.

Some teams within the Liga Profesionista de Fotbal league understand the importance of protecting thier identity and have requested our team to work with fans and fan pages to help them understand the importance of maintaining this identity.  This has resulted in the merging of Facebook Fan pages, developing Fan specific logos and the enforcement of takedowns on numerous Facebook and Instagram pages.
